Niagara Health Foundation Launches Baby Wall to Celebrate New Life and Support Niagara Health

The Niagara Health Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its Baby Wall, a beautiful new recognition space that celebrates the arrival of newborns while supporting care for women, babies, and families across Niagara.
Located on the 4th floor of Marotta Family Hospital Women’s & Baby Unit, the Baby Wall is a vibrant and welcoming display where families can honour a newborn or loved one by adding their name—and even a photo—to the installation. Each baby’s story will become part of the tree.
For families who choose to participate, a $200 donation places their baby’s name and birthdate on a leaf, gently woven into the branches—symbolizing new beginnings and growth.
For those who wish to share even more of their story, a $500 donation will feature their baby on one of the apples, including their name, birthdate, and a photo—standing out as a vibrant celebration of life.
Together, these leaves and apples create a living, growing tribute—one that reflects the many families whose journeys begin at Niagara Health, and the community that surrounds them with care. Each recognition remains on display for 12 months, creating a lasting connection to this special moment.
Every gift directly supports priority needs in Women & Babies programs and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Niagara Health—helping ensure that the youngest patients receive exceptional care, close to home.
“This is a joyful way for families to celebrate one of life’s most special milestones while making a real difference,” said Andrea Scott, President & CEO of the Niagara Health Foundation. “For many families, Niagara Health is where their story begins. The Baby Wall offers a meaningful way to honour that experience while helping support care for others.”
For families who have experienced care at Niagara Health, the Baby Wall is also a heartfelt way to express gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and care teams who supported them during pregnancy, delivery, and early neonatal care. Whether celebrating a newborn, welcoming a grandchild, or honouring someone special, the Baby Wall creates a lasting connection between families and the care they received.
