Each year hundreds of kids aged 4 to 12 take on mud puddles, hurdles, mountains of hay, and dash through waterfalls while completing “tough mudder style” challenges. Participants also help raise thousands of dollars for the Children’s Health Unit at Niagara Health. This one-of-a-kind event has become a tradition for thousands of families in Niagara. A classic Welland Event, the Elimination Draw sees nearly 300 guests yearly. Attendees are treated to an incredible homemade meal from the Croatian National Home and take their shot at winning incredible prizes, a 50/50 and the grand prize of being the last person standing in the draw. The winner gets more than bragging rights; they take home $1,500 in cold hard cash. The Elimination Draw raises funds directly for the Welland Hospital Site of Niagara Health and is a great home-grown event.
