Yes! In addition to the obstacle course, there is a fun zone open to all kids, food vendors, teddy-bear clinic (bring their favorite stuffy) and vendors.

No worries, if you miss your heat time, just jump into the next heat!

Parking attendants will be on-site to direct you to an available parking spot when you arrive.

There will be a few areas where you may want to have cash on hand. However, we will have debit/credit machines on site. Please note there is no ATM onsite.

You betcha! A drop cloth or towel for the ride home or a change of clothes & shoes would be a great idea. There are washrooms located on the lower level of the park, adjacent to the parking lot that can be used for changing. We will also have a few change areas.

To ensure the safety of our participants, we ask that parents refrain from going on any obstacle. However, you are more than welcome to run along the perimeter of the course for photographs, video, and of course encouragement! Participants aged 4-6 years are required to have someone over the age of 16 years with them for supervision and assistance with certain obstacles.

Not a problem! This event is non-competitive, so there is no penalty for not completing an obstacle.

The 1 KM obstacle course will take approximately 5– 20 minutes depending on the child’s age and enthusiasm.

Burgoyne Woodws is a public park and we cannot stop you from bringing your dog, however with the large crowd and many children, we ask that you please leave your pets at home.

The sensory heat block allows participants who may be sensitive to noise and crowds to still enjoy the obstacle course experience in a more controlled and comfortable environment. By offering less noise and fewer kids, participants can focus on navigating the obstacles at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed by sensory overload. This inclusive approach ensures that all kids, regardless of their sensory sensitivities, can have a positive and enjoyable experience on the course.

Absolutely! We love seeing your challengers sporting their Kids Ultimate Challenge t-shirts and encourage them to wear it.

Take your best guess and if you need to exchange the size when you register, that will not be a problem.

You should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your heat time to allow time for parking, registration and getting to the starting line.

It’s recommended that you bring sunscreen, bug spray, their favourite stuffed animal, a change of clothes and a bag for the muddy ones! We will also have a water bottle re-fill station on site offering complimentary water, so please bring a reusable bottle to fill up.

This has been done to make the registration process easier for parents with more than one child participating and to accommodate more participants. Each heat block will have a maximum of 150 children and will be broken into 3 waves, separated by 10-minute intervals. We encourage the older, faster children to be sent off first, allowing the younger children to go last and take their time through the course. This also means siblings can run in the same heat instead of waiting for their time slot, determined by age.

Of course! There will be a roped-off area at the end of the course for families to cheer on their challengers as they cross the finish line and receive their medals. BEWARE! You may get wet near the finish line. You’re also welcome to take photos/videos of your challenger en route to the Finish Line. Feel free to take advantage of a secret path for parents, just before the woods, to get ahead of your child and skip the narrow(and muddy) trail.

Unless there’s lightning or a twister taking Dorothy to OZ, we say bring it on! The Kids Ultimate Challenge will take place rain or shine and will only be cancelled due to extreme weather. Please note that unfortunately inflatable bouncers cannot be used during rain, so some obstacles and the Kids Fun Zone may be affected.

The event opens at 9:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM.

Each child is permitted to complete the course once. There are lots of other activities to take part in at the Fun Zone.
