Pamela Shanks joins Niagara Health Foundation as new Director of Development

Niagara Health Foundation is excited to announce that Pamela Shanks will be joining the Foundation as the new Director of Development. Shanks begins her duties on June 15, 2020, and will oversee the development team at the Foundation. She will provide strategic leadership for the fundraising team as they strive to support high-quality patient-care at Niagara Health.

Pam brings over 30 years of fundraising and non-profit experience. Pam was the former Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Brock University, where she sustained ongoing giving and strengthened relationships with community stakeholders.
Pam has also served as the Executive Director of Advancement at Holy Trinity School (Richmond Hill), Executive Director of Development at Ryerson University, and Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations at York University.

She is a leader and founder of professional fundraising organizations, most notably with the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Calgary and Toronto.

The Foundation supports all five Niagara Health sites, including Douglas Memorial, Greater Niagara General, Port Colborne, St. Catharine’s, and Welland, which provide care for over 450,000 residents across the 12 municipalities of the Regional Municipality of Niagara. The Niagara Health Foundation raises funds through direct fundraising, signature events, annual giving programs, legacy gifts, granting organizations, community events and corporate partnerships.
