Niagara Health Foundation ‘Motown Hits’ Gala raises record $100,000

February 27, 2019

On Saturday, February 23rd, Niagara Health Foundation hosted its Annual Gala at the elegant Sheraton on the Falls. The ‘Motown Hits’ themed event brought the music and magic of the Motown era to 400 guests, while raising over $100,000 for the Foundation’s Gifts of Extraordinary Care Fund.
The Gala is a crucial fundraiser for Niagara Health Foundation, helping raise funds for priority patient care equipment, redevelopment projects and special patient programs at Niagara Health. Funds raised at the 2019 Gala will specifically support the Gifts of Extraordinary Care Fund, for the purchase of vital medical equipment across Niagara Health not covered by government funding, including Defibrillators, Patient Beds and Medical Imaging equipment.
At Niagara Health, care teams provide extraordinary care to patients and their families 365 days a year, 24/7. Specialized patient care equipment, like Defibrillators, is indispensable to doctors and medical staff in the treatment of patients.
“Our Annual Gala brings together our thoughtful and caring supporters who take pride in helping to make local healthcare better for our families, friends, and neighbours,” said Roger Ali, Niagara Health Foundation’s President and CEO. “Raising $100,000 at this year’s Gala is a milestone everyone can be proud to have contributed to. These funds will have an immediate and lasting impact on the way Niagara Health delivers care.”
Niagara Health Foundation would like to thank all Gala guests, sponsors and those who donated in support of the Gifts of Extraordinary Care fund, for helping to advance patient care at Niagara Health. By supporting the purchase of essential equipment, donors are helping build a healthier Niagara for the thousands of patients who rely on Niagara Health for extraordinary care each and every day.
