The Niagara Health Foundation’s 29^th annual Tailgate Elimination Draw and Dinner continues to be a highly anticipated tradition in Welland, bringing together community members, sponsors, and supporters to enhance patient care at the Welland Hospital. Each year, the event grows in excitement and impact, and this year was no exception.

On Thursday, November 20^th, 2025, more than 230 attendees gathered at the Croatian National Home for an evening filled with community spirit, great food, and an exciting game of football. The Croatian National Home once again provided incredible hospitality, offering an abundance of traditional, homecooked food that helped set the tone for a warm and lively night.

This year’s event welcomed several new sponsors, further strengthening the community of dedicated partners who help make this tradition possible. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our sponsors, both new and returning, as well as our volunteers and enthusiastic attendees. A special acknowledgment goes to Canadian Tire Store 118 in Welland for their generous $10,000 Gift Matching Donation, which played a significant role in helping us reach a new fundraising milestone.

With more than 50 prizes valued at over $10,000, the intensity in the room grew with each ticket drawn. Thanks to the exceptional generosity of everyone involved, Welland’s 2025 Tailgate Elimination Draw and Dinner raised over $85,000, marking a record-breaking year for the event.

All funds raised will directly support the Welland Hospital, contributing to enhanced patient care and essential equipment upgrades.
